1st February 2010 - Fetish Markets
Affordable Leather will be attending the London Fetish Fair on the second Sunday of each month as we have been doing for the last 13 years,
Regrettably, due to the current financial downturn, we have decided we will no longer be attending the London Fetish Fair. Apologies for any inconvenience to those who used to vist our stall there.
11th of November 2009 - Royal Mail Strikes over
We are pleased to inform customers that the Communication Workers Union and the Royal Mail are now engaged in negotiations and there are no more strikes planned for the near future, so we hope things will get back to normal now and we're sorry if anyone's orders were held up.
3rd November 2009 - Website issues
Our hosts had to perform some essential maintenance on the 2nd of November and it seems to have caused a problem with our site as pages were coming up "not found".

October 2009 - Royal Mail Industrial Action
As you may be aware, the Communication Workers Union have voted for strike action.
We are monitoring the situation and are looking at alternative methods of delivery if there is no resolution to the dispute, so please don't let this deter you from ordering goods.
August 2009 - New items

April 2009 - Postage Prices Held!
Royal Mail have just put up the prices for all forms of postage, however we have not!
We will hold our prices at the pre-increase level for as long as possible.
26th January 2009 - Extreme Pornography Law now in effect.
Despite our best efforts, writing to MPs and Lords, campaigns, petitions and demonstrations, the Government has forced the law banning so-called "Extreme Pornography" through.
Although the Association of Chief Police Officers has suggested that they won't be "actively pursuing" people for breaking this law, it still means that if they arrest you for anything and look through your computer you can be charged for this offence.

As an extra special bonus for our customers we have added some more discounts. We are now offering you the opportunity to bundle in extra items to your purchases at cheaper prices than if you purchased them individually.

1st December 2008- VAT Changes and New Postage and Packing Price Structure
We are not VAT registered but we can still give our UK customers a helping hand in these difficult economic times and we are pleased to announce that (after not a little work!) we have brought down the price of Postage and Packing on most items in our range and we have also capped the UK P&P charge at £18 instead of the previous £20. We have also ensured that, in the unlikely case that the new postage charging system might give you a cost higher than the original 10% of order value, you will be charged at the lower rate
Unfortunately the new system does mean that a few of the heaviest items will be a little more expensive to post but we believe that you will find our prices are still very competitive compared to other suppliers.
We have added some more products to our range including some heavy metal locking Wrist and Ankle Cuffs and Collars as well as some amazingly versatile Velcro fastening leather cuffs and straps. See our New Products page for more details.
Foreign Currency symbols at checkout
There is an occasional glitch with our Currency Converter system. For some reason which we can't determine, when you get to the checkout, it is showing the price correctly, but with the £ UK Pound symbol, making it look as if the price has suddenly jumped!
Please rest assured that the price hasn't changed and you will be charged appropriately based on the exchange rate prevailing at the time the transaction is processed.

The LAM will now be held at The Rise Bar, 49 Lavender Gardens, SW11 1DJ. This is just up the hill from the Grand, if you come out of Clapham Junction Station you need to turn left instead of right and it's a short walk to the venue.
